Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 1/28/18 – Over 30,000 Dodgers’ fans filled Dodger Stadium Saturday, January 27 to be apart of the Dodgers’ sixth annual FanFest. Fans came out to meet and greet, get autographs, take pictures and enjoy themselves.

The six hour long event ran from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and included players, Kike Hernandez, Walker Buehler, Kenley Jansen, Justin Turner, Joc Pederson, Tony Cingrani, Logan Forsythe, Alex Verdugo, and Ross Stripling.

This year’s FanFest presented by Coca-Cola and San Manuel Casino was geared towards the whole family and had something for everyone. Many young fans had the chance to take part in interactive games around the stadium with the Rock Wall being one of the most popular areas.

Buying autograph session tickets prior to attending the event ensured fans of getting an autograph but Jr. Dodgers members, ages 14 and younger, received free autographs at the Jr. Dodgers Autograph tent.

All autograph session tickets benefit the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and support LADF programs.

Many players did a great job of interacting with the fans by stopping to give autographs and pose for pictures as they moved from one fan filled area of the stadium to the next – to be interviewed on the main stage or to sign autographs for those who purchased VIP tickets.

A few players didn’t stop as fans called out to them to come over and sign an item or to take a picture. When a player continued on his way, a male fan would call out, “Do it for the kids!” which caused those around him to laugh.

As players and fans prepare for the upcoming 2018 – 2019 season, FanFest was a great way to start the New Year. AR
