Innovations For The Future Of Total Knee Replacement and more in Palm Springs

There are several new developments in knee replacement technology. These innovations range from intra-operative robots, navigation, customized guides that the surgeon uses to insert the knee replacement, anatomic knee replacements, and customizable knee implants.
Rise Up! For a Day of Resistance
The Center is partnering with NCLR and other like-minded organizations to present a free afternoon training for legal professionals and activists in Palm Springs this Saturday, May 13. Activists can learn how to help others file paperwork to get their name and gender markers changed, what it takes to organize a rally, and how to get in touch with elected officials. The legal track will address issues of immigration, health, criminal justice and threats to the advances we have already achieved.. Learn what you can do to protect those who are targeted.

It’s never too soon to plan ahead!

After recent news that the US Census is not planning on tracking data on the LGBT community in the upcoming 2020 Census, participation in this survey is more critical than ever. It gives important feedback to LGBT community media and organizations across the county and globe! The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete, and everyone who completes the survey by May 15, 2017 may enter into a drawing to win one of twenty US $50 cash or gift certificate prizes.
On Tuesday, June 6th @ 6:00pm Dr. Golkoo Morcos will be speaking on mental health in HIV.  The location is Sinatra Auditorium, Desert Regional Medical Center (at Tachevah & Miraleste). A light supper is served at 6:00 PM; program begins at 6:30 PM. ASL provided upon request at least one week prior. Sponsored by Jewish Family Service of the Desert. RSVP is NOT required.
