Note: Earlier this week Pantatonix performed Stayin’ Alive: A #GRAMMYSalute To The Music of The @BeeGees on CBS.

Aquapella arrives in Manhattan on the heels of the closing weekend of President Bill Clinton favorite production, ‘In Transit,’ Broadway’s first a cappella musical. Since 2011, when Texan A Cappella group Pentatonix made the switch from unknown YouTube sensation to winners of NBC’s The Sing-Off, a mounting public appreciation for the spirited form of expression began to propagate.

Followed by the success of Anna Kendrick’s improbable smash radio hit, “Cups”, from the ‘Pitch Perfect’ movie soundtrack and the creative antics of fellow U.K. singer and “The Late Late Show” host, James Corden, A Cappella performers are once again proving their prowess to penetrate the mainstream.

Bath University is one of the UK’s leading educational institutions and is internationally renowned for their reputation for quality and groundbreaking research.

The Varsity Vocals International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) is the only international tournament that showcases the art of student a cappella singing. Featured on the network television show “Sing it On”, ICCA is the “real-life Pitch Perfect” and is dedicated to providing top-notch collegiate a cappella groups with valuable feedback from highly qualified judges. Our tournament gives student a cappella groups the opportunity to showcase their talent to an international audience as well as cultivate the art of a cappella singing and their lifelong love of music.

Each year, collegiate groups compete in regional quarterfinals and semifinals across the U.S. from January through April, where the top group from each semifinal advances to the finals. ICCA Finals is the culmination of that process, and features 10 collegiate a cappella groups: the winners of nine semifinals, and one wild card winner.
