Longtime Comedian “Scruncho”

presents his first ever one-man show: “ALL I NEEDED WAS A HUG” for a limited ENGAGEMENT at Two Roads theater

March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6

Longtime comedian/actor Anthony “Scruncho” McKinley presents his first ever one-man show “All I Needed Was a Hug,” a powerful stage play about his life journey from child neglect to comedic glory. Produced by Emmy Award-winning media maven Sherri Shepherd, “All I Needed Was a Hug” will be presented for a limited engagement at the Two Roads Theater, beginning Thursday, March 2 – Thursday, April 6.

Hailed by Vibe Magazine as “King of the Underground,” Scruncho has entertained audiences around the country with his raw brand of street-conscious comedy for nearly two decades, including several television appearances on HBO’s “1st Amendment Standup” and “BET’s Comicview.” Now the entertainer takes a more dramatic turn to share his life story in a candid tour de force performance that chronicles his journey to comedic triumph, including his days of neglect as a child, his struggles with gangs and drugs, to his days in prison that followed, to the moment he ran in a comedy club and jumped on stage and pretended to be a comedian to allude the police – the day that changed his life forever.  Scruncho spares no detail or emotion for this tell-all piece, which is gritty, hilarious, unapologetic, passionate and triumph.

“All I Needed Was a Hug” tickets priced at $15.00 are available at the Two Roads Theater ticket office, or by visiting:
