CAP UCLA’s season continues with celebrated political satirist Bassem Youssef: The Joke Is Mightier than the Swordon Wednesday, January 18 at 8 p.m. at UCLA’s Royce Hall. 

Hailed as the “Egyptian Jon Stewart,” Bassem will appear two days before the U.S. Presidential Inauguration on J18, a day of democratic education and action to affirm the role of critical thinking and academic knowledge.Comedy Central’s  The Daily Show – An Egyptian Satirist in America – Bassem Youssef has received nearly a million views and Rolling Stone examined How ‘Egypt’s Jon Stewart’ Went From Public Enemy to TV Star.
