Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/9/15 – Starting this Friday, Sundance Cinemas at West Hollywood will show Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut The Lost River (2014), starring Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Saoirse Ronan and Ben Mendelsohn. Ryan’s partner Eva Mendes is starring as Cat.

Ryan Gosling himself will be available for Q&A this Sunday after the 3 p.m. show.

First screened as a part of the 67th Cannes Film Festival it is now available for American audience to watch starting this Friday, April 10th, at the following address: 8000 Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood, Auditorium 1.

The film is about a single mother of two Billy (Christina Hendricks) who is facing numerous life challenges and trying to survive in poverty and her teenage son Bones (Iain De Caestecker) who shares the problems with her but later discovers a secret underwater town, utopia.

Slammed by critics at Cannes, the American premier of the movie has been held till now. It seems the famous actor also put a hold on his acting career back in 2013 just to concentrate on his debut as a filmmaker.  Not a surprise that the movie scenario was also written by him.
